Miniature Lop Rabbits

Miniature Lop Rabbits originated in Germany from the German Lop (large) and Chinchilla (small).

They were first recognised in 2 colours- Agouti and White. They are now available in a huge variety of colours and patterns.

A male rabbit is called a buck, a female rabbit is called a Doe and a baby or junior rabbit is known as a Kit.

We are members of Rabbit Breeders Association of Tasmania (RBAT). Mini Lops are the perfect rabbit for both showing in competition and domestic pet life.

We breed our Mini Lops as pets for their wonderful traits.

Breed attributes of the Miniature Lop include one of the friendliest and affectionate personalities in the rabbit world.

Our kits are handled very frequently if not daily from birth, exposed to loud noises such as vacuums and are handled by adults, children and toddlers.

Often labelled as teddy bears, these cute and cuddly companions require work and are not suitable as a ‘gift’ for young children unless an adult is prepared to care for them.
