Miniature Lop & Netherland Dwarf Rabbits

At Grange Hill Farm we currently have two small rabbits breeds that are bred for showing and pet homes. We house both the Miniature Lop and the Netherland Dwarf.

We are members of Rabbit Breeders Association of Tasmania (RBAT) & Australian National Rabbit Council Inc. ( ANRCI).

Mini Lops are the perfect starter rabbit for both showing in competition and domestic pet life.

Breed attributes of the Miniature Lop include one of the friendliest and affectionate personalities in the rabbit world.

The Netherland Dwarf is a more energetic breed with just as many wonderful traits as the lop.

Our kits are handled very frequently if not daily from birth, exposed to loud noises such as vacuums and are handled by adults, children and toddlers.

Often labelled as teddy bears, these cute and cuddly companions require work and are not suitable as a ‘gift’ for young children unless an adult is prepared to care for them.

This year we also had the wonderful Sprent State School purchase 3 male kits for their “Wellbeing Bunny” program. The Wellbeing Bunnies have the very important job working with the children daily.
